Using this intelligence and our unique position at the nexus of multiple industries and companies, we develop the active insights, trainings and tools our members need to operate responsibly—and profitably. The AIAG Effective Problem Solving Practitioner Guide provides the latest automaker thinking on root cause analysis and effective problem solving. It focuses on the process and the roles of the problem solving team members to resolve difficult problems. It provides guidance for which quality tools are most effective at each stage of the process but it does not provide detailed explanations of each. This Guide was developed in response to concern expressed by automakers and suppliers about the ability within the industry to prevent problem recurrence.
